$ 119,000.00
West Alton Mo. (St. Louis area)
Boat Type:
Boat Name:

The perfect Looper Boat located in the perfect location to go in either direction. I’m hoping that anyone thinking about doing the Loop will understand where the Illinois and Kentucky Rivers are, and what they link to. This vessel has never been more than 100 miles from St. Louis.

“Awwwwww man” (in the voice of Booker T) look what I have here for you:  A DAVE BOAT!!!   “what’s a Dave boat?” you ask. Well, for those of you who’ve been following (and buying yachts from me) my site might remember that back in the 04-2010 years I regularly had some SPECTACULAR yacht offerings  from center consoles to 50′ yachts- and all were either located in West Alton Mo., or Florida, all named Jobless, all with Montana on transom (LLC). His boats (and classic cars) are always incredible as to their pristine condition. All sold VERY quick. This vessel has NEVER been outside of the magnetic pull of St. Louis Mo. Freshwater and Boat House stored  since new.  This is Dave’s personal boat for the past five years or so. He’s bought and sold many others, but  would never sell this one, but now he’s retiring from boating.

Bayliner 3988 layout drawing  Two private staterooms/ two private heads.

What they all had in common was that they were owned by my friend Dave who divides his time between those two locations as a snowbird, who  delivers his big boats (buy one there, sell it here, buy one here and sell it there) on their bottoms OR trucked them if it was do-able. Dave has “the eye” for spotting quality boats (and now classic cars) and the “pocket” for buying them ‘right’, and then he allowed me to broker them if they weren’t bought by his other friends before hitting the market. They all sold IMMEDIATELY as their condition was PRISTINE.  I’ve always been astounded his finds, and I even once bought one for my personal use.

This was mostly all back during the financial crisis years of 2004-2014 in America, when banks were foreclosing boat mortgages left and right, and many were friendly “give back to the banks” situations and I’ll leave it at that, as to how he obtained so many  jewels.   Anyway- he purchased this 2000 Bayliner 3988 back then from her original owner who is still the Cummins dealer in St. Louis,, and she was so nice (and he’s NOT “a Bayliner guy” by any means!!!), he kept her for his personal use and no amount of money was able pry it from him til NOW. This was a Cummins Dealers personal boat in Missouri, and as such was SPECTACULAR, which is why Dave kept it for himself. She’s been under cover in freshwater since new.     Those who know-KNOW.

NOW years later she’s being offered to the market for the 1st time.  Two private staterooms, and two heads.
