55′ Single Engine Fiberglass Pilothouse. 2011 SOLD

$ 465,000.00
Lake Union, (Seattle) Washington
Boat Type:
Boat Name:
Island Explorer

$55k price reduction 5/28/15. $30K  8/15.   THIS is a buy-she’s a  2011- NOT 2001.  This is the only vessel I’m recommending in the PNW as a buy.   I don’t understand why this yacht hasn’t sold. She’s late model, low hours, located in a popular cruising area with a low price. People “say” they’re looking for a single diesel fuel efficient yacht, but when one is proffered, I guess “those people” really aren’t buyers at all. You know what’s actually selling well in this size range?  FAST boats that aren’t fuel efficient with two or more engines.

Here’s that rare yacht for you folks seeking a single engine yacht- A 2011 Californian (Navigator) with a single 575hp Volvo D-9 diesel engine. She cruises at 12 knots, wot at 15 knots.  510 hours. ONE OWNER- Freshwater Lake Union yacht since new.   I’m a fan of the Navigators. I toured their facility in Perris California, I’ve sold several. I like how they are built. HUGE engine rooms!  Navigator was a family owned Yacht building company that built nice boats for less money than the corporate builders.  The only negative to their boats under 60′ is that there is no egress from the cockpit to the flybridge and all their beams are 15′, but that does translate into better fuel efficiency than wider beam vessels.  THIS model has port and starboard doors in a true pilothouse, where you can stand up to drive the vessel with excellent visibility.

Californian by Navigator Yachts. Built in the USA. Factory hard top, bow and stern thrusters, low hours, late model single engine yacht… You know how rare this is?

1,000 RPM – 7 Knots – 1.9 GPH – 3,114 Mile Range
1,500 RPM – 9 Knots – 6.6 GPH – 1,214 Mile Range
1,800 RPM – 10.5 Knots – 10 GPH – 911 Mile Range
2,000 RPM – 12 Knots – 15 GPH – 650 Mile Range
2,500 WOT RPM – 19.8 Knots – 26 GPH – 600 Mile Range

This is a rare yacht. Most glass boats this size are twin engines. Navigator was always known for fuel efficient vessels, but this one must “take the cake”.
