SOLD GONE- 2010 56′ Symbol Pilothouse Motoryacht SOLD
This late model, heavily equipped 56′ Symbol Cockpit Motor Yacht was designed by renowned naval architect Jack Sarin. It was built to be a fully functional trawler/expedition yacht with the ability to run at semi-displacement motor yacht speeds when the need exists. She features two (2)  Cummins QSM-lls 715hp diesels with 410 hours– on a moderate V-hull that allows for planing but also gets better than a mile to the gallon when cruising at 10 knots. The vessel is over built for her class and features stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters, expansive fly bridge, aft deck davit and 12′ Caribe tender, a beautiful satin cherry wood interior, fully equipped galley, and much more. The three stateroom two head layout features an expansive full beam master stateroom, integral galley/salon layout, and cockpit that services the true “yacht fish” feel of this vessel. She is in fantastic condition and features extended engine cover until February 2019. This vessel is equipped with a handheld remote Yacht Controller that allows for single handed operation of the vessel.  She show’s as a new yacht as you would expect from a 2010 model with such low hours.

My next offering is a 2006 58′ Symbol named Hot Air IV which is located near me in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Asking only $888k.  SOLD

Lazarette/Engine Room/Electrical/Mechanical
The Engine Room and Lazarette are accessed via the Cockpit Deck through an electrically actuated hatch. The Engine Room and machinery spaces of “Off.Line” have been completely customized by the current owner for the purpose of serious long range cruising. The drop ceiling which was for the purpose of hiding wiring and plumbing was removed, allowing for an additional 4” of headroom. While 4” does not sound like much, it makes the difference between crouching to move about the Engine Room and comfortably moving about the engine and machinery spaces. All wiring and plumbing was neatly re-routed for maximum headroom and accessibility. All unfinished areas exposed by removing the drop ceiling were finished and painted in bright white epoxy paint to match the rest of the engine space. Extra bright LED lighting was installed throughout the Engine Room and machinery spaces. Center bilge panels were also removed and the bilge areas were finished in bright white epoxy paint. All of the machinery systems have been upgraded, re-routed and/or redesigned for efficiency, accessibility and reliability. In my 18 years as a yacht broker, I have never seen machinery spaces this well organized, clean and this well thought-out with the exception of a few mega-yachts in the 140’ – 240’ class. To find this level of forethought in 59’ is more than just rare.Another rare/unheard of feature in a vessel of this size is all of the flexible hoses in the vessel have been replaced with FlexFab Silicone hoses. Something as mundane as hoses are usually never thought of until a failure occurs. A hose failure, while uncommon, can be dangerous, especially offshore in heavy seas. FlexFab Silicone hoses are stronger, more durable, much higher temperature resistant and far exceed the life span of traditional hoses. I know of no OEM Vessel Manufacturer that uses them for one simple reason and that is cost. FlexFab Silicone hoses cost many times that of traditional hoses. While the owner will not say, by my estimation there are tens of thousands of dollars of hoses in “Off.Line.” Take a close look at the Engine Room photos. Impressive just doesn’t seem to cover it.This 59 Symbol has the most desirable C-15 CAT ACERTS. These engines allow this vessel to reach planing speeds. Other semi-displacement Motor Yachts in this size range simply are unable to reach planing speeds with smaller engines. The C-15’s are a huge upgrade.
