2003 Meridian 490 —-$189,000. SOLD

$ 189,000.00
Jacksonville Florida
Boat Type:
Boat Name:
No Plans

After three years on the market she finally sold for $187k. I sold her from her original owner in 2015 for $190k. How much do you think her owners paid in dockage (they didn’t use her at all) and insurance alone? I know that over $50k was spent on maintenance and upgrades, yet the flybridge AC was still inoperative the same as it was in 2015.

Why buy an old Bayliner 4788 with no upgrades when you can buy a constantly upgraded Meridian 490 with a bow thruster (plus)for the same money?

The most upgraded and custom 490 Meridian I’ve ever seen.  Fresh bottom paint and total wax job 8/18. All port lights pulled and resealed 2017, new refrigerator 2017.

The info and photos below are when I sold ($190k) her previously.  She’s only had more features and service carried out since then.

Gel coat is shiny like a brand new boat 6/16.   Bow Thruster, Electronic controls, Swim platform hydraulic lift, rebuilt davit, One recent new engine, the other fully serviced,

As of 2019, she’s in the ownership of her third owner.   She had originally lived on the Caloosahattchee River- since new til 5/2015, then she went to Illinois on her bottom. She returned to Florida in 2018, and has been on the freshwater St. Johns River (under cover) since then. . You can see her freshwater history in the photos of her seacocks in the engine room, and all her machinery. She has newer Strata-glass on the enclosure and a newer Stamoid top. She does have a recent cockpit enclosure installed by her second owner for the Illinois weather) She has two (2) new (2014) GPS/Chart Plotters that show radar/gps, maps, video, and even television.  Her SS Delta  anchor is STILL like new. She has new carpet throughout. Her upholstery is excellent.

I would like to point out that the reason her salon has none of the original seating, and table these vessels came with it- is that the original owner had a son in a wheelchair. Unfortunately he disposed of all the now valuable furniture a long time ago. Trust me, I asked for it. Those original table bases are hard to come by. I have a client who has an original salon table still in bubble wrap in his office, that he will sell, but I can’t find a base anywhere, and I check Marine Liquidators in Ft. Pierce regularly.

All records and receipts since new. The engines have been serviced (the port one replaced) by Cummins of Ft. Myers since new.

The starboard lounge seat. Beautiful upholstery.

Note the air conditioning outlet next to the custom headrest cushions.

Flybridge seating  This all is totally custom- no other Meridian has upholstery of this caliber.

Yet another air conditioning outlet.

RARE (for a 490) Hot and cold shower option. Note the new color and style of the cockpit bolsters. 5/11/15

5/11/15 new refrigerator

Empty, clean, and ready for her next owner.

Wetbar and icemaker. The later model 490s no longer had this sink option.

No outdated stereo equipment in this cabinet.

It’s now a wine cooler.

Let me repeat it in case you missed it above. The reason there’s no original furniture in the salon was that the original owner whom these folks purchased her from had a son in a wheelchair. The boat has never been damaged in any way. Unfortunately all of that valuable original furniture has been long disposed of.
